A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant seeking employment in the Sheffield area with an immediate start. The role is to provide general classroom support on a part-time basis, with added responsibility of delivering interventions with small groups of children & booster sessions to help raise their age-related expectations.

In this current climate we have seen a rapid increase in the demand for support staff following the disruptions to learning in school. We require resilient, dedicated candidates with the ability to positively engage students in the classroom, enabling each young learner to reach their highest potential.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

* Assisting the teacher in supporting students in their learning
* Managing challenging behaviours where necessary
* Supporting additional needs and working with EAL pupils
* Creating engaging environments and displays relevant to students learning and curriculum
* Supporting children's social and emotional development

Role requirements:

* A DBS on the update service or willing to apply
* Relevant qualifications with some experience within the education sector
* Up to date safeguarding training (offered by Teaching Personnel)
* Contactable referees for past work experiences

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
