Our client is an Ofsted Graded training provider, recognised as Outstanding for our leadership and management that operates across the UK, and they are currently recruiting for a Heavy vehicle technical trainer based in Loughborough.
Role summary for the successful heavy good’s technical trainer
To deliver high quality training to employees on a heavy good apprenticeship programme. You will facilitate learning and engagement approaches to teaching, promoting timely achievement and enabling positive progression with each apprentice.
What we are looking for in a heavy good’s technical trainer (not limited too)
- The ability to motivate and inspire learners establishing positive and respectful working relationships
- To work in collaboration with Curriculum design team to support ongoing development
- Maintain all apprentice records ensuring that all data is up to date ensuring that the apprentice can progress through the programme
- Maintain safe learning environments, effectively promoting Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Prevent, and ensuring learners are aware of strategies for staying safe online.
- Able to liaise with senior management and learning coaches and support SEND learners to accommodate and/or overcome individual barriers to learning
Skills required in a heavy good’s technical trainer:
- Recent relevant industrial experience, minimum of two years in motor vehicle academic or vocational field
- Teaching or Training experience preferred but not essential, training will be given
- Excellent subject knowledge with a passion for the sector.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Reasonable IT skills
- Good time management skills with the ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload under pressure
- Awareness of Safeguarding responsibilities.

- Full valid driving licence
