Our client is an integrated engineering design consultancy working across the UK and internationally providing design services to Architects, Estates Managers, and Property Developers. They believe that delivering all construction engineering skills from one office provides the industry with far more efficient and effective designs. Therefore, the team consists of electrical, mechanical, structural, and civil engineers. The job will involve some travel across the UK and they have flexible working arrangements with staff working from home and in the office.
They are looking for a CAD Technician (Building Services Engineering) with at least 3 years' experience in the construction industry. The work covers all aspects of mechanical and electrical building services engineering including power distribution, lighting, security systems, access control, fire alarms, water, ventilation, air conditioning and heating systems.
The selected candidate will have responsibility for the delivery of 2D AutoCAD drawings and 3D Revit models for a range of projects which will involve coordination with the client, the design engineers, and other specialists. Drawings will be from concept to detailed designs and may include site visits for some projects. Additionally, short reports and time appreciation of proposed tasks will be required.
The role will be reviewed yearly and where required additional training will be provided. Where necessary the incumbent will be asked to complete an agreed number of CPD hours to ensure their continued professional development. A small element of sales/ admin work will also be required to assist the team who regularly take part in social and physical activities.
The role will involve the following work:
* Producing outline and detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings of mechanical and electrical systems
* 3D Revit modeling of mechanical and electrical systems
* Producing schematic drawings of mechanical and electrical systems
* Liaise with specialist agencies and suppliers
* Interpreting existing drawings and understanding sketches and marked-up drawings
* Attend design team meetings and site visits
* Work in accordance with the company internal procedures.

* 37.5 hours per week
Holidays:
* 25 days per year
Qualifications:
* HND or Degree in relevant subject
Experience:
* At least 3 year's broad experience across the construction industry
Attributes:
* Flexible, articulate, well presented and able to work in a distributed team environment
* 2D AutoCAD and MS Office proficient
* 3D Revit experience is preferred but not essential
* Have a full UK driving license.
Pay:
* �20k - �25k per year dependant on experience
