A pupil referral unit in Bury is looking for Teaching Assistants to work with students in KS3 and KS4 that have been taken out of mainstream schooling for various social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. The school wants to give pupils valuable skills for their future, and so you will play an important part in helping individuals to progress.

To be considered for this role you should:

- Have previous experience working within a school as a teaching assistant

- Have previous experience dealing with difficult behaviour

- Provide a positive learning environment for the pupils within the school

- Be able to give helpful feedback to teachers and students to aid progress

Within the role, you will help teachers within the classroom to plan and execute lessons in a productive way. You will also help students with work, whether this be in a group or on a 1:1 basis. You will need to promote a positive learning environment and help pupils to communicate in a respectful manor.

The role will be full time on a temporary basis, with the possibility of this becoming a permanent position for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
