Your responsibilities
We are currently looking for a Lathe Operator to join us here at thyssenkrupp Materials UK! As the Lathe Operator, you will be cutting and shaping a range of product for various customers working from design drawing and adhering to tight tolerances. Based at our Milton Keynes site, we process metal bars and tubes in various grades and sizes. We have state-of-the-art cutting facilities, including CNC machining with integrated robotics. Our materials are used in the aerospace, defence and medical sectors.
Your main duties will include:
Operating the Lathe to a high quality and safe standard
Ensuring we have warehouse traceability
Working from drawings you will be required to accurately set various machines and produce parts to order
Use forklifts to gather material for the jobs and record all information on job sheets

Essential experience, skills and knowledge:
Lathe operating knowledge
Able to read drawing and record accurate details
Flexibility to help with other tasks
Strong communication and time management skills
Desirable experience, skills and knowledge:
CAD / CAM capabilities
Training can be provided for the right applicant
Forklift trained
