Joining us as a Learning and Development Co-ordinator is a great opportunity for career development, if you have recently graduated and are looking to enhance your professional advancement.

Up to £26,000 per annum, depending on experience

40 hours per week


This role would particularly suit Graduates from the disciplines of Human Resources or Business Administration.

This rewarding and interesting role will provide a unique opportunity for you to thrive as part of a small but mighty L&D team, supporting the development of a learning culture.

Reporting to the Head of Learning and Development, you will provide administrative support to Colten’s L&D team by proactively planning, organising, co-ordinating and measuring the full range of activities for the Learning and Development function. You’ll also be responsible for arranging company-wide training courses and programmes that champion outstanding care.

You will have the opportunity to develop partnerships with external suppliers, particularly in the area of apprenticeships and external qualifications where you’ll be arranging meetings and feedback sessions as required. You will support budget management, carry out research and analysis relating to all areas of the Learning and Development function.

Additionally, you will support our care homes to co-ordinate the logistics of running training courses and have the opportunity to develop your skills in writing of e-learning courses.  

This role will equip you with skills and attributes that will position you well as further opportunities arise within Colten Care.

About You

Success in this role requires you to demonstrate:

Strong communication with team, customers and stakeholders
Ability to use MS Excel to a high level of competence
Engagement with new technology, systems and processes
Using your initiative and ability to work alone at times
Attention to detail, checking for accuracy in reports and wider business communications
Ability to grow into the provision of excellent administration

Most importantly, you are good communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills. You will be highly organised and an efficient multi-tasker. You can demonstrate initiative and adapt quickly to fast-paced environments where priorities may change. An intermediate/advanced level of competence in MS Office, especially Excel is essential.
