Role: Primary Teaching Assistant

Location: Newcastle, NE15

Pay: �350-�390 weekly


Teaching Personnel are happy to announce that we have a new position available to work in a local primary school in Newcastle on a full-time basis. The role will involve supporting a KS1 level pupil within the classroom and on a 1:1 intervention basis.

The role:

* Working with a pupil in Year 2
* Providing one-to-one support for pupils with SEN
* Delivering small group interventions to support pupils learning
* Working in unison with the class teacher to implement effective pupil support

The school

* Based in Newcaslte (NE15)
* Ofsted rated 'good'
* Easy access via public transport if required

Candidate requirements:

* Has experience working with children in a primary environment
* Is Level 2 qualified or has relevant experiences/qualifications
* Has a child-only DBS on the update system (assistance to apply is offered)
* Is passionate about supporting young people's education and learning

The ideal candidate:

* A compassionate and calm demeanour to manage challenges with pupil behaviour
* Positive behaviour management techniques
* Knowledge of the National Curriculum to support educational progression
* Understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)
