Teaching Personnel in partnership with a specialist school in Hull are looking for additional staff, they have commented that they would like individuals with a calm and nurturing approach. They have recently had success with individuals in school providing additional support from a care/ support background.

To be successful you will need to be able to build a good rapport with pupil's male and female aged between 5-17 with additional needs including challenging behaviours (SEMH). The role will involve general support within the classroom, as well the expectation of delivering specialised interventions on 1:1 basis and in small groups. With this expectation relevant training will be provided. Depending on your experience, you may be asked to work 1:1 with specific pupils who may need additional support and nurturing to enhance their learning and development.

- Competitive hourly rate of pay �10.77 p/h - �12.33 p/h

- No prior school experience needed

- Full-time working hours, Monday - Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm)

- No relevant education qualifications required

- Experience supporting people with additional needs / challenging behaviours is required

This provision is a SEMH mixed primary and secondary provision, that caters for students aged 5-17 years. All pupils have an EHC plan and additional needs, all of which can display challenging behaviours. The provision requires all members of staff to be able to have had previous experience working to support people with challenging behaviours and/ or additional needs, this requirement is due to the high-pressure environment you may be challenged with at the provision, having previous experience allows you to be able to deal with these situations professionally and calmly throughout. The provision provides its students with extracurricular activities, both supporting their educational and holistic development, they aspire to provide all their students with essential life skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
