We have an opportunity to place a SEN Support Worker in a special school for pupils aged 11-16 with Severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. This school has excellent facilities to support the development of the children with classes usually having 6 to 10 pupils present.

The pupils you will be working with have severe and often complex learning difficulties. You would work within a large, specialized environment to enable these pupils to progress both academically and socially.

The ideal SEN Support Worker for this role would have:

* Experience of working with Severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties particularly those pupils with Autism.
* A calm and patient manner to support pupils through difficult times.
* Someone who is comfortable with outdoor play and support if needed.

The school supplements the pupils learning with speech and language therapists, nurses and other forms of support. The school's reputation is well regarded in the local community and the motives of the school are further recognized with its recent OFSTED rating being outstanding in all areas inspected.

This role would begin on a temp-to-perm basis, working with us for 12 weeks before fully joining the school as a member of their staff.

The school is situated in Cheadle with public transport links nearby.

You would be subject to standard vetting checks including two recent references and a DBS check.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
