Role: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant: one-to-one support
Location: Jarrow, South Tyneside
Pay rate: �350-�375 weekly
Start date: 5th Sept 22
We are working with a local Primary School in Boldon who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team of dedicated staff committed to achieving high standards of education. You will be working as a one-to-one support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) . The role is to begin from September 2022 and will be ongoing until the Summer.
The Role
* Clarifying and explaining instructions
* Motivating and encouraging the pupil to stay on task and be engaged
* Assisting in weaker areas of reading and writing inlcluding handwriting presentation
* Liaising with class teacher and other staff to contribute to the planning and delivery of Education and Health Care Plans (EHCP)
* Consistently and effectively implementing agreed behaviour management strategies
* Helping to make appropriate resources to support the pupil
* Supporting differentiation and feedback to class teacher
Candidate requirements
* Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant qualifications
* An interest or experience of working with children
* A DBS on the update service (assistance offered if not)
* Safeguarding trained (free training provided if not)
