Year 3 Teacher (PR7)

The Headteacher and governors of a reputable Primary School located in Chorley (PR7) are on the lookout for a Key Stage 2 Primary Teacher to teach a Year 3 class from June 2022 to cover a full-years maternity leave. This is a full-time teaching commitment. This role will be from June 6 th 2022 until July 2023 with the head teacher stating, we will honour the full academic years booking, once the teacher returns as we understand trying to source work after May half-term can prove difficult.

Start date : Monday 6th June 2022

Duration: June 2022 - July 2023 - 3.5 terms

Recruitment process: The Headteacher is keen to receive CV's from both experienced and Early Career Teachers who are graduating this year, applications close on Friday 20 th May with the view to meet the Headteacher the following week. School willing to utilise as an unqualified teacher if you're waiting on your QTS.

The Headteacher in school is committed to life-long learning, therefore welcomes all teaching staff and support staff to participate in half-termly CPD; SLT are well respected by staff, parents and pupils. The Year 3 class is currently made up of 28 pupils and there is also a full time KS2 Teaching Assistant on hand to support you in your new role. This school boasts excellent facilities that offer children the best opportunities to learn and develop from EYFS-KS2. The year 2 class that will be moving up into year 3 are a lovely class with sound attainment levels.

The successful candidate will:

* Be committed to building positive, trusting partnerships with parents and carers.
* Share and support the school ethos.
* Engage with Teaching Assistants and ensure they are utilised effectively within the classroom to maximise attainment.
* Demonstrate professionalism and enthusiasm towards creating a learning environment allowing children the opportunity to be the best they can be.
* Possess excellent understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum and child development.
* Believe in the importance of an enabling environment and planned play in supporting children to grow as active and engaging young learners.
* Be keen to teach children displaying exemplary behaviour.
* Following school behaviour policies and using positivity to manage behaviour and de-escalate situations effectively.
* Liaising closely with the Head Teacher and reporting any concerns.
* Following ECHP's (Educational and Health Care Plan) in place for specific individuals and working alongside Education Psychologists who regularly visit the school.
* Undertaking general classroom activities such ensuring a clean and safe learning environment.
