Have you ever thought about working in education before? This is a brilliant opportunity available to work in a Secondary School in the Aberdare area as a Trainee Learning Support Assistant. Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for someone who is interested in this position and is available immediately on a full-time basis.
The school has outlined they are looking for a confident and motivated person who has a passionate and caring nature and is enthusiastic towards helping others. The role of a Learning Support Assistant is to support individuals in KS3 and KS4 who require additional support with their studies. The successful applicant will be in different classrooms to help with things such as literacy & numeracy intervention. Majority of your time will be spent in mainstream classes, supporting a specific student, however at times you can be working on a 1:1 basis or small intervention groups.
Do you have experience with Autism, ADHD, or Dyslexia?
Throughout the duration of the Covid pandemic, the education of young people has been extremely disrupted with very little continuity. That is why students now need as much support as possible on a physical, social, and emotional level to reach their maximum potential. The school promotes a positive learning environment and has highlighted they are looking for someone who fits their ethos. Prior experience of working within a school is not required, however experience working with vulnerable adults or children is desirable.

Within this role you will be working with children and therefore it is a requirement that you have an enhanced DBS Certificate available on the Update Service. Furthermore, it is a mandatory requirement to be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC). Teaching Personnel can provide assistance and guidance with your EWC and DBS applications.
