Secondary Teacher (Pru)- Wood Green

Start Date: 5th September 2022

Pay: �150- �180pd

Teaching Personnel are recruiting an experienced, charismatic, and resilient SEMH Teacher to join a SEMH school in Wood Green. This dedicated and successful school caters for young adults aged 7-16 with social, emotional mental health issues who have struggled to integrate into mainstream schools.

ABOUT THE ROLE

* Deliver high quality lessons to students with behavioural, social and emotional needs.
* To liaise with relevant health, educational agencies, and social services to promote joint working initiatives to meet the diverse needs of children and their families within appropriate settings.
* Assisting and implementing workshops that focus on building the students' self-esteem, co-operation, and social skills.
* Attending weekly reviews with SENCO to assess the student's behavioural and academic progress.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

* Has taught in a PRU, SEMH or SEND environment
* Teachers with strong knowledge of the primary curriculum is ideal.
* Has good behavioural management skills
* Can provide a range of learning, teaching, assessment and behaviour management strategies.
* Excellent communication skills and is able to work co-operatively and collaboratively with a range of staff (including LSA's, colleagues and multi-agency professionals) with the aim of addressing the student's needs holistically
* Positive classroom management skills and a growth mind-set attitude.
* Resilient and flexible enough to work in a pressured school environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
