TUTOR REQUIRED

I am looking for a tutor to support an LAC pupil in Year 10, in the Shirebrook area (NG20 postcode) for 15 hours per week (3 hours per day Monday - Friday), delivering core subjects English, Maths and Science. The student lives in a residential home which is where tuition will take place.
The student is awaiting a place at a specialist school however we are unsure when he will get accepted so tuition is needed in the interim and to possibly support with the transition to the school later on.
He can become emotionally unregulated and shows signs of Attachment Disorder. He needs a calm and nurturing tutor who will give him space if he is feeling unregulated, and sometimes he may need to calm down by going for a walk.
We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
Knowledge and experience working with pupils who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties
Resilient to dealing with challenging behaviour
Experienced working with Looked After Children and those with Attachment Disorder
Nurturing and patient approach
Able to work face to face in the home environment, engaging professionally with residential care staff, Social Workers, Local Authority clients and other professionals.
Able to plan and deliver cross-curricular engaging lessons at KS4 level
Confident to deal with safeguarding concerns following correct protocols and policies
Committed to this extremely vulnerable young person for as long as is required - continuity and consistency is key so we are looking for reliable tutors

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
