This role would suit an individual with some previous experience in a Compliance capacity within the insurance sector, who would like to work as part of a small team, supporting the Compliance Officer of this niche coverholder based in the City. This is a varied and interesting role, working as just a team of two and will include responsibilities such as:
• Ownership of the delegated underwriting agreements, liaising as necessary with principal insurers in the negotiation and renewal of such agreements
• Monitor and advise the Business on all relevant legislative and compliance developments impacting on the business and the Company
• Investigate compliance risks and issues and provide feedback as necessary
• Ensure that procedure manuals and policies are kept up to date and accurate, and they reflect the current regulatory and legislative requirements
• Create an audit framework which is suitable for the Business and undertake monitoring reviews ensuring that suitable solutions are implemented to address gaps or weaknesses identified
• Assist in the handling of all complaints ensuring all ‘lessons learnt’ are actioned; providing the regular and ad hoc reports
