The Fundraising Manager will contribute to Hertfordshire Mind Network's (HMN's) overall Fundraising and Marketing Work Plans as an integral member of the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications team, helping us drive and accelerate community fundraising, income growth, and deliver unrivalled supporter experience.

You will lead the development of our fundraising strategy across all income streams; individual giving, corporate, community fundraising (individuals and organisations), legacy, trusts, and grants. Actively delivering fundraising activities and stewardship for HMN as detailed in the fundraising strategy.

Accountability

You will be line managed by the Head of Growth & Marketing for Hertfordshire Mind Network but will manage your own workload, prioritising tasks and working on your own initiative.

Key Responsibilities (Service & Staff)

Fundraising strategy

- To lead the development of our fundraising strategy across all income streams; individual giving, corporate, community fundraising (individuals and organisations), legacy, trusts and grants.
- Work alongside the Head of Growth & Marketing to implement the HMN fundraising strategy and plan.
- Work autonomously to identify new fundraising opportunities and build pipelines across all income streams.
- Lead on the identification, cultivation and stewardship of high value and potential high value supporters across income streams.
- Work autonomously to identify new opportunities, write applications and mail-shots, using direct mailing to reach a range of potential and current donors.
- Research, prepare and submit small grant applications to support the growth of the organisation
- Build a pipeline of opportunity to increase funds by researching and targeting charitable trusts whose criteria match the charitys aims and activities.
- Work closely with the Volunteer Coordinators to recruit, manage, retain, supervise and develop a network of Community Fundraising volunteers.
- Inspire, motivate and develop the HMN's staff and volunteer workforce and maximise their contribution to fundraising activities.


Supporter Journey

- Manage a portfolio of existing fundraising supporters across all income streams, providing exceptional supporter care, maximising funds, building relationships, motivating, stewarding and nurturing all donors, in line with HMNs fundraising strategy and the Fundraising code of Practice.


Marketing and promotional activity

- Develop creative and innovative marketing materials e.g. case for support, to engage supporters and build high value sustainable relationships.
- Use social and traditional media effectively to create and deliver insightful and engaging fundraising communications and drive key messaging using local case studies, to raise brand awareness and target areas with greatest potential.
- Plan the best allocations of resources, making decisions to maximise the available time to ensure the best outcomes and value.
- Work closely with the Marketing Team to ensure that an unrivalled supporter journey and appropriate stewardship is delivered to fundraising supporters


Engagement

- Provide line management support for the Wellbeing Access Workers and lead the delivery of this contract, including reporting and regular meetings with the Improved Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Marketing & Communications team.
