The role

As a 1:1 teaching assistant you will be required to deliver GCSE level intervention lessons to the pupil you will be supporting. You will be working 1:1 in a separate classroom designed specifically to support the pupil and their individual needs, they will follow their own individual curriculum and undertake many extra-curricular activities to promote development such as Duke of Edinburgh, trampolining, and other excursions outside of school. As a TA you will be required to attend and plan these extra activities for your pupil, whilst being able to provide evidence that it will help them meet their targets on the EHC Plan and how it will further their development.

The school

This is a specialist provisions that caters for pupils aged 2-19 with additional needs- ASC and SEMH. The role will be working with pupils aged 11-14 and as a school their ethos is being pupil centred, the whole school bases its daily routines to suit the daily needs of each pupil incorporating their interests into all activities for engagement and forming respectful and trusting relationships between staff and pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
