Full-time Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Vacancy - Secondary School - Ormskirk
Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a Secondary school based in Ormskirk (L39), West Lancashire. This role will be on a full-time basis.

From �10.77 per hour
What does a HLTA do?
A Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) is a Teaching Assistant who is able to take on greater responsibility, including covering classes, and planning and teaching their own lessons.
When covering classes, all the work will be prepared for you, and you will be expected to deliver the pre-planned lessons. You must be confident managing behaviour and following school safeguarding policies.
Your focus will be year groups in KS3 and KS4 and you will be given a timetable to follow.
As a HLTA you will be supporting with a range of subjects including Maths and English to a mixture of students from a variety of backgrounds. You do not need to a subject specialist in all these subjects as the work is already set. If you have a few subjects that you'd be particularly confident supporting, the school will ensure they utilise your strengths as much as they can.

* Strong academic background
* Able to commit to a school until August 2023.
* DBS check (Teaching Personnel can assist with these if needed)
* Be passionate and committed to working with children in education
* Previous experience working within a classroom

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
