The Head teacher at a GOOD school in Blackburn have approached Teaching Personnel in order to source a Teacher to work in the Year 4 class in school. You will cover a gap in staffing expected to continue from the Easter holidays at least until the end of the academic year. There is the potential for the Head teacher to then source a successful candidate permanently from September 2022 through the Blackburn with Darwen Council website. The temporary member of staff covering from Easter will be able to apply for this.

The Head teacher has commented on the following;

'The children in the Year 4 class are a delight - they are keen to learn and look after each other'

'The class has a full-time Teaching Assistant who is able to support the class teacher and also ensure behaviour is exemplary'

'The school will fully support the newly appointed teacher and make them feel part of the team from day one'

With this in mind, the Head teacher is looking for an excellent class teacher who will be able to offer as much as the school are willing to give back! The Head teacher has an outstanding reputation in the local area and is well known for the support she offers to all her staff members. She is very much centred around the children but also around the welfare and morale of her staffing team.

This is a full time teaching role.

You must have QTS

You must be in a position to complete a new DBS and use the Update Service

You must have recent experience working in a KS2 class

You must be confident in the planning, delivery and assessment at Year 5 age related levels.

You must be flexible with your working hours as this is a full-time role however the school will expect you to attend staff meetings and after-school insets

You will be given PPA release time and NQT release time (where applicable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
