Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

An Ofsted graded 'good' secondary school in Burnley are looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant with HLTA experience in KS3 and KS3.
This is a full-time post, and is initially to last until February half-term 2023 with the potential to extend.
You will join a staffing team who are dedicated to ensuring all pupils receive equal opportunities, and create a positive and safe learning environment. You will report to the SENCO, and you will work closely with the pastoral department to create interactive and tailored resources for targeted pupils, pupils with additional needs, and pupils with challenging behaviour.
The school have strong ethos and values, and the successful candidate will be required to share the same ethos and values, and will be committed to providing opportunities for pupils educational and social development. The successful candidate will
* Have HLTA experience in KS3 and KS4
* Have previous 1:1 and small group intervention experience
* Have strong behaviour and classroom management
* Hold a HLTA qualification, or a Degree
* Be available to commit to a full-time role during term time, 8:30am-3:00pm
The school are looking to hold interviews prior to or over the May half-term, and you will be interviewed by the SENCO and an Assistant Headteacher.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
