Teaching Personnel are currently looking for multiple SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a SEN school in Hinckley. There are currently multiple roles within the school available working with children between the ages of 8-19.

The roles available will be Full-Time Monday - Friday 8.30 - 15.45 and wqill start in the new academic year. However, if you are only looking for part time we would still like to hear from you as hours may be accomodated for the right candidate.

Within this role you will be either supporting a small class or support a a child on a 1:1 basiis. The school is predominantly supporting children with Autism but some children may have co-existing conditons like ADHD. This role can be challenging at times, so a candidate with patience and a good idea of strategies to calm down situautons certain situations would be needed.

Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Salary: �13,000 - �14,500 per annum dependent on experience

Hours: Maximum of 35 hours per week, term time only - Permanent part time, full time and sessional available.

Function of role:

You will need to have a calming approach and be familar with strategies that can be used in certain sitatuions when supporting a child with Autism.

To support and maintain a high level of learner engagement through collaborative preparation and delivery of an innovative, creative and flexible curriculum. To use a collaborative and multi-agency holistic approach to delivering an education provision which includes attention to health and safety awareness, risk management and the safeguarding of young people.


Act in accordance with the organisation's guidelines under the guidance of the designated Provision Manager and adhere to the organisation's Equal Opportunities and Diversity policy.

Being an advocate on behalf of your students in your class, whilst encouraging their involvement and engagement within the seassion in the classroom. In addition, assisting the class teacher with the assessment, preparation, delivery and review of a learner's curriculum including contributions to lesson plans.

Be aware of ALL safeguarding procedures on a day to day basis, and adhering to these at all times.

Be responsible for all aspects of learner health and safety, informing the designated Learning Manager of any accidents or identified risks, and using the significant incident reporting form appropriately. Support the Learning Manager to ensure venues used are appropriate and risk assessed, and that Health and Safety guidance supplied by the company is adhered to.

To adhere to the appropriate plans that are set out for the children within the class, and to be aware of any SEN needs of he children that you'd be supporting. To have the ability to put on place strategies to handle certain sitatuons whislt support a child 1:1.
