We are looking for an SEN Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with various sensory challenges. This role is based in Cottenham and involves supporting students with medically diagnosed hearing loss (who uses/will use audiological equipment) and/or vision impairment (which cannot be corrected by glasses).

As an SEN LSA, your responsibilities will include:

* Working closely with deaf children/young people
* Supporting the class teacher
* Learning & supporting BSL delivery
* Supporting bespoke interventions
* Developing a skillset that allows you to test deaf specific technology
* Being part of a team that is continually developing new strategies to better the outcomes for children/young people who are deaf

A successful candidate will be:

* Flexible and adaptable in work situations

* Able to work in a challenging environment
* Available to work immediately after the vetting process- you will need to be available 4 days per week 8:30am to 3:30pm
* Able to travel to work via own means or public transportation

This is a full-time, long term role for a September start. This will be a temporary role to begin with, however there is the opportunity for a permanent placement pending a successful trial period.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
