If you answered YES to the above questions, then please do not hesitate to contact me in the office.

The Head teacher at a school, in Colne (BB8) has approached Teaching Personnel to source a specialist support assistant who has strong behaviour management and experience working alongside an individual child with challenging behaviour.

The child is due to arrive in school in December 2022 and from previous experience upon starting a new school, has had some trouble settling in. With this in mind, the Head teacher has promptly put an action plan in place for a member of staff to support the child using a structure and routine which doesn't enable him to disrupt others, hence the position opening for a temporary member of staff.

The Successful candidate must:

- Have a Level 2 or above Teaching and Learning qualification.

- Have recent experience in the last 12 months working alongside primary aged children.

- Be able to provide at least two education-based references from your most recent employers; preferably HEAD and SENCO or DEPUTY.

- Be able to commit to a full-time teaching assistant position in a Burnley school.

- Have the enthusiasm and commitment to work alongside a child with particularly aggressive behaviour.

The role will be to start as of December 2022 and continue until the end of the academic year, with a view of being taken onto a permanent role. The working hours are 8:30-15:30. You will also be expected to work during lunchtime for 30 minutes. Your line manager will be the SENCO in school who is approachable and happy to support with the child's behaviour plan and education plan.

The School is currently in a transitional stage and are pushing for a GOOD Ofsted grading. The support of Special Educational Needs is currently GOOD and this is something the school are particularly proud of.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ's on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
