Teaching Personnel are looking for recent graduates to take up the role of a Teaching Assistant in one of our client secondary schools in the New Mills area. This is a full-time post from February 2023 until the end of the academic year.
* Graduates needed on a full-time basis for school in Wilmslow
* Degrees of all subjects welcome, particularly Maths, English and Psychology
* Pay rate: �10.77 per hour

Our client school has a history of supporting graduates, helping them make an informed decision of what kind of career they wish to pursue in education, be that going for their PGCE to become a fully qualified teacher or a range of support roles. The role of a Teaching Assistant has different challenges every day, you could be providing classroom support, running 1:1 and small group sessions away from the class for students who have fallen behind or have SEN.
You will also be supporting Year 7 students who are having troubling making that difficult transition into high school life, you will listen to their concerns and offer them advice on things they are having difficulty with.
Roles and responsibilities:
* Cover full lesson when teacher absences occur
* Look to raise student attainment and develop students across all ability levels
* Work as part of a close knit, results driven team
* Provide support to students with SEN, these requirements could be Autism, ADHD or Dyslexia to name a few examples
* Liaise with teachers to help identify students who would benefit from receiving extended support
