We're looking for an experienced Senior Communications Officer to join our Communications, Brand and Marketing team and play a key role in ensuring our key external stakeholders understand how we are transforming our services to change people’s lives. 

The role will be formally based in Runcorn. However, reflecting the working arrangements of our team, this is a hybrid role with attendance at the Runcorn head office expected two days a week and at other sites across the UK from time to time.

This is a full-time role working Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm with no weekend or bank holiday working

Main ResponsibilitiesYour days as a Senior Communications Officer with HCRG Care Group will be varied and rewarding. 


You will support the Communications Manager in delivering efficient, effective public relations and public affairs activity which protects the business’ interests and improves its reputation.
You will be responsible for taking ownership of PR campaigns and events as directed by the Communications Manager, maintaining our social media PR calendar, delivering our external awards plan and managing enquiries coming in to our Communications, Brand and Experience service desk on a rotational basis.


 

 
The Ideal CandidateYou will have at least two years' experience as a communications professional and a good knowledge of health and social care and the political landscape in which it operates. You must be confident in working proactively and independently, as part of a wider team with colleagues located across the country.  

You will be skilled in:


producing content for a variety of channels and audiences
working with journalists to secure positive and balanced news coverage
using e-mail marketing systems like Campaign Monitor and content management platforms such as Wordpress and Hootsuite
building good relationships with colleagues at all levels of your organisation


You'll need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel
