Teaching Personnel are working with one of our client schools in Stockport who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to begin work immediately. It is crucial that the applicant holds some relatable experience working with secondary school children. This could be across a variety of different settings.

Start Date: February 2023

Pay: Range between �10.77 and �15.00 hourly

As a Teaching Assistant at this school, you will be responsible for the following:

* Supporting teachers across the subjects, covering lessons when needed.
* Developing and creating resources for students to engage with.
* Implementing strategies that look to improve overall student behaviour both within the classroom and around the school site.
* Enforcing school policy at all times, working within the SEN department as and when required.
* Working with students who have been excluded from mainstream lessons.
* Providing support to children with set EAL requirements.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be tasked with ensuring that the more vulnerable learners are comfortable with workloads set. You will also look to ensure that students feel prepared for external examinations by holding small group sessions around the development of overall exam technique.

Other factors within this role will include:

* Providing feedback on individual student progression.
* Managing students pastorally, dealing with sensitive personal issues and looking to resolve these in a calm and efficient manner.
* Consistently looking to provide praise and positive reinforcement to students, in order to boost overall morale.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
