Working alongside our partner primary school in New Moston (M40), Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a TA to undertake a split classroom support/mentor role in Years 3-6

* Full-time position 8:30am - 4:00pm, Mon - Fri
* Spring Term start
* Long term role with a potential to turn permanent
* Supportive and well-equipped Catholic primary school

Working alongside the the class teachers within KS2, the successful candidate will work between all 4 KS2 classess supporting students identified with needed additional academic support. These children are not on the SEN register or have an EHCP but are working below expected standard and need additional support. The school has idenitified pupils who would benefit from targeted mentoring for both academic development. You will have responsibilities to plan and teach daily small group sessions to these children being accountable for their progress.

The school are looking for applicants who have a good understanding of the KS2 curriculum, ideally having supported in any of those year groups previously. This role would be good for a TA looking to support across classes or an ECT/Trainee Teacher who wants to build on their experience.

The school in New Moston (M40) is an outstanding Catholic school with around 350 pupils on roll mainly two-form entry with some mixed year group classes. Their mission statement is to include Jesus in every part of their school, so the successful candidate needs to be able to embrace the Catholic ethos. They have a lower than average number of pupils access pupil premium funding with around 10% of students having English as an additional language.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
