Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant needed in Lancaster (LA1)

- Part-time position available early June.

- Experience supporting Primary learners is essential.

- Mon-Wed-Fri.

- 8:30-15:30.

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a reputable Primary School located in the Lancaster area, who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their KS1 staffing team on a part-time basis up until the end of the academic year (July 2023). There is the potential for extension into September as the school are looking to appoint a permanent member of staff in the new year.

The school is a 2-form entry Primary School, who pride themselves on "Promoting Excellence" so are eager to welcome a committed and proactive Teaching Assistant to become an integral part of their team, who will contribute to the school's ethos. The successful applicant will have previous experience working within Key Stage 1, has knowledge of the Curriculum and is comfortable supporting learners on a 1:1 and small group basis.

The school's leads have commented that the successful applicant will have experience supporting learners with SEN, specifically ASC as they will be supporting a child 1:1 with Autism who is non-verbal, so there is a focus on social and language development as well as academic development.

- Phonics knowledge is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
