Ulster University is looking for a Hospitality and Front of House Supervisor for their Magee campus in Derry/Londonderry. This exciting new role will see the supervisor take charge of the hospitality events and also supervise the FOH team on a day-to-day basis.  The Supervisor will report to the Unit Manager and be fully responsible for the outlet in their absence. You will need to be an existing supervisor or have previous relevant supervisor experience with events and preferably come from a hotel or events environment with a great knowledge of food & beverage. Maximise sales opportunities that occur within the planning and operational stages of the functions and events Support your Line Manager in the achievement of sales revenue and targets for the department/location and to optimise profitability and efficiency within the unit Demonstrate knowledge of food and beverage operations with a focus on innovation, standards and market awareness As part of our commitment for continuous improvement and innovation, all colleagues are encouraged to seek ways to improve work activities and promote efficiency Essential Criteria   Demonstrate at least 1 year supervisor experience in a similar environment Good working knowledge of event set up and delivery of conferences and events Good verbal communication skills in order to be able to liaise with a wide range of customers and colleagues Attention to detail and accuracy Fluent in both spoken and written English You must be smart, polite and well presented Excellent customer service skills Strong Team player Pro active and flexible in your approach Ability to work well in a busy and varied environment   Desirable Criteria   Experience of working in environments involving high levels of customer care Experience in both small and large events and conferences Experience in working in events What We’ll Give 37.5 hours per week A good life work balance with few late nights required Access to a wide range of programs to train and develop you  Compass Group reserves the right to enhance the criteria, if necessary, for the purposes of shortlisting.
