Chef ManagerLocation: FlixtonSalary: £32,000 & range of excellent employee benefitsPermanent – Onsite – Monday-FridaySodexo has a great opportunity for an experienced Chef Manager to join our established team working with our clients based in Bungay.Joining our team at their site in Flixton, you will ensure the prompt and efficient planning, cooking, preparation and service of all meals to the company’s standard and to the client’s satisfaction at the required time, adhering to special dietary requirements, paying particular attention to allergens.The role will includethe organisation of any hospitality catering as required, some of which may occur outside of normal working hours.The Chef Manager will control and monitor financial performance of the unit to deliver on pre budgeted GOP targets, including purchasing and stock control to ensure correct compilation of payroll to the latest regulations, completion of weekly trading on EprophIT, ensuring accurate capture of all income and supply invoices whilst ensuring completion of due diligence records in line with Food safety policies. You will oversee the management and training of line staff, carrying out performance reviews and providing coaching as necessary and control and discipline staff with the procedure laid down by the company and keep records of any disciplinary issues keeping the account manager and HR informed whilst attending meetings or training courses as requested.Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the unit to required standards and passing all related internal, external and client audits, you will take all necessary steps to ensure maximum security of the kitchen, store, office, safe and monies and any other areas under Sodexo control, support and assist the line manager with managing all Sodexo services on site, covering holidays & sickness and relieve and assist in other establishments in certain circumstances.About YouExperience and knowledge requirement for this role:Experience of catering management, managing a team and budgetsAbility to develop increasing individual effectiveness through leadership, motivation, communication, coaching and trainingAbility to set and achieve standards and operate to performance criteria, with particular regard to hygieneExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients and staff at all levelsExperience of delivering training using company guidelinesSelf-motivated with a sense of own initiativeAbility to work effectively as part of a teamGood standard of financial acumenAbility to work well under pressureFlexible approach to the roleComputer literacyQualifications required:NVQ chef qualification or equivalentFood Safety qualificationsWhat we offerWorking with Sodexo is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of something greater.
