They were established over 20 years ago and have successfully achieved its original intention of creating and maintaining the best Energy Monitoring and Targeting software in the marketplaceWe are looking for a Electrician - Quality Certifier to join our successful Horizon Energy team. This is a Site Based roleRole and ResponsibilitesQualified Certifier Electrician; Surveying, designing and project managing the installation, inspecting and testing of low carbon and renewable energy solutions installed by Horizon Energy. Applicants will be self-motivated, performance driven with a high attention to detail. Ideally with 5+ years previous experience of the Irish electrical industry and preferably with at least 3 years in a renewables business.The successful candidate's responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Maintaining the highest level of safety, technical standards and quality of electrical installation workMaintaining a full knowledge of the National Rules for Electrical InstallationsSupervision and management of the installation of industrial, commercial, and domestic electrical systemsInspection and testing of industrial, commercial and domestic electrical systems including renewable and low carbon technologies; PV & Battery, ASHP, GSHP, CHPDiagnose and repair electrical faults under own volitionCompletion of certificates and notificationsCompile material lists and collect parts as requiredRead, interpret and work from mechanical and electrical schematicsAssist with annual compliance audits – Safe Electric / SEAIProvide exceptional customer services and be able to answer any customer questionsRepresent Horizon Energy in a professional manner at all timesRead and comply with the company Health & Safety Policy; taking reasonable care for the Health & Safety of themselves and others; co-operate with managers and other employees in fulfilling our objectives and statutory duties.Experience and QualificationsEssential:           QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – ElectricalFull knowledge of the National Rules for Electrical InstallationsMicro Solar Photovoltaic Systems Implementation (QQI/FETAC Course code 6N0306)Micro Solar Photovoltaic Systems Installation (QQI/FETAC Course code 6N0307)3-years previous experience specifically in the Irish renewables/on-site generation industryExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with clients, site managers and managersAbility to work on their own initiative and as part of a teamGood organisational and self-management skillsAbility to prioritise activities and to meet tight deadlinesHighly self-motivated with a positive work ethic and able to demonstrate integritySupport and motivate other team membersExcellent written and presentations skillsSound working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeA full clean Irish driving licenseDesirable:Have worked as a QC in prior roleIPAFPASMAElectrical Testing & Verification training course City & Guilds 2407What we offerTraining and development opportunitiesCompany pensionFlexible work hoursSharesave schemeLife insurance4pm finish on FridayIf you are interested in the role and would like to be considered, please apply now and a member of our In House Recruitment Team will be in touch.
