Title: Lead TechnicianLocation:BAE Systems PrestwickSalary: Up to £32,500As a Lead Technician at Sodexo, based at BAE Systems Prestwick, you are not only a skilled professional but also a leader who inspires and guides your team.In this role, you will ensure the smooth and safe operation of mechanical, electrical, and building fabric systems while fostering a culture of safety and excellence.You will spend approximately 50% of your time in a hands-on capacity and the rest leading and supervising your team, making a tangible impact every day.Join Sodexo and be part of something greater. You belong to a team where you can act with purpose and thrive in your own way.What You’ll Do:Lead the maintenance team to deliver safe, effective, and efficient building services.Ensure full compliance with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules and statutory requirements.Undertake both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring they are completed to the highest standard.Supervise and coordinate direct and subcontracted labor to ensure service delivery meets expectations.Maintain and develop systems for optimal plant performance and energy efficiency.Conduct risk assessments and maintain adherence to Health & Safety legislation and policies.Provide leadership in managing emergencies and maintenance outside normal operating hours.What You Bring:Minimum of 5 years of experience in building services and plant engineering.Strong expertise in LV electrical systems, mechanical services, confined spaces, boiler and pressure systems, and legionella control.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.A proactive approach to leadership with a commitment to health and safety.A high level of numeracy and computer literacy.What We OfferWorking with our company is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of something greater.You’ll belong to a company and team that values you for who you are; you’ll act with purpose and have an impact through your everyday actions, and you’ll be able to thrive in your own way.
