You’ll be at the heart of developing and delivering training programmes that support new and existing staff, enhance engagement, and improve retention — all while ensuring compliance with statutory and mandatory requirements.This is more than just a training role — it’s your opportunity to drive purpose, build capability, and contribute to a safer, more effective custodial environment.What you’ll do:Deliver and coordinate Initial Training Courses (ITCs) and induction programmes for both operational and non-operational staffSupport the L&D Manager with planning, content updates, and day-to-day oversight of staff undergoing trainingCollaborate with internal experts and departments (SMEs, Apprenticeship Team, Learner Coach) to deliver engaging, compliant trainingFacilitate refresher and upskilling sessions to ensure continuous development across the establishmentProvide strong administrative support, including scheduling sessions, tracking progress, and maintaining accurate recordsHelp shape the future of training in a dual-gender, Category B prison, supporting over 600 staffWhat we’re looking for:Essential:✔️ Experience in a custodial environment (as an operational staff member)✔️ Strong communication and interpersonal skills✔️ Confidence in delivering and facilitating group sessions✔️ Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise✔️ Flexible, approachable, and a great team player✔️ Ability to build strong working relationships across departments✔️ Constructive feedback and coaching mindsetDesirable:✨ A relevant training qualification (or willingness to gain one)Why join Sodexo?Working at Sodexo is more than a job — it’s a chance to be part of something greater.
