Asset Surveyor/Commercial Property Manager – Cheshire – £45.00 per hour (Umbrella)
A Cheshire-based Local Authority is seeking an experienced Interim Asset Surveyor to manage its diverse commercial property portfolio. This includes primarily small to medium-scale industrial properties, as well as several secondary retail and office sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the commercial estate to ensure timely collection of rent and service charges.
- Oversee property repairs and maintenance, ensuring tenants comply with lease terms.
- Develop and implement investment and management strategies for the portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, RICS, and property law requirements.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective property management services.
- Support financial reporting, rent collection procedures, service charge management, and lease assignments.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in Property Management within a local authority or commercial environment.
- Strong understanding of Service Charges, Rent Collection, Repairs Notices, Property Law, and RICS Guidance.
- Demonstrable experience managing complex estates and ensuring statutory compliance.
- Evidence of successfully delivering complex property projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to work across teams.
- Proficient in property systems/databases.
- Full UK driving licence required.
Desirable:
- Experience in financial reporting and understanding of CIPFA Guidance.
Working Arrangements:
Hybrid working available; however, regular office and on-site attendance in Cheshire is required.
