Responsibilities and Duties of the Electrical Technician role
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor you will:
* The maintenance, repair and overhaul on a variety equipment such as; Motors, Control Panels, Actuators, Transformers, Conveyors and Generators, etc
* Ensuring the maintenance reports and logs are kept up to date
* Ensuring maintenance activities are carried out within defined budgets
* Diagnosing and fault finding of electrical problems
* Ensuring compliance to all health & safety & legal requirements
* Representing the company in a professional manner
* Working as part of a call out rota
* Respond to reactive maintenance call outs
* Maintaining accurate maintenance and inspection logs up to date
* Assist in outage planning, scheduling and coordination
* Comply with all required quality assurance processes.
* Complete a minimum of two safety observations per month, along with one vehicle inspection.
* Complete all necessary reports and technical documentation to support your activities.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Time Served Apprenticeship in an Electrical Engineering field
* CompEx trained would be highly desirable
* Previous experience of electrical testing, installation and fault finding
* Experience working in a heavy process environment such as a power station, refinery, chemical plant or paper mill.
* As this is a field based role, a full UK driving licence is a necessity
