Responsibilities and duties of the Solar Maintenance Engineer role
Reporting to the Hiring Manager you will:
* Deliver mobile planned and reactive maintenance across a range of commercial solar PV sites
* Carry out maintenance inspections, fault finding, repairs, upgrades, and installation works
* Work on both single-phase and three-phase commercial rooftop solar PV systems
* Communicate professionally with clients on site, responding to queries and providing clear updates
* Identify, report, and log defects and remedial actions during service visits
* Accurately complete all work-related documentation, including inspection reports and maintenance logs
* Follow all health & safety procedures, permits to work, and safe systems of working
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Proven experience in a solar PV maintenance or electrical maintenance role
* Electrical qualifications such as a Level 3 Award, 18th Edition (or equivalent)
* Strong understanding of health & safety regulations, permit-to-work systems, and risk assessments
* Full UK driving licence
* Willingness to work away from home on occasions
