We are partnered with a global engineering and technology group known for high solutions across complex, largescale infrastructure projects, who are looking for a Senior Environmental Manager. This position offers a blend of site and office work, giving you the scope to influence outcomes directly on the ground and at a strategic level.

You will provide decisive environmental leadership, ensuring robust compliance with regulatory frameworks while pushing the project to exceed industry standards. Your expertise will embed environmental priorities into planning and delivery, shaping solutions that protect landscapes, communities, and ecosystems across the HS2 route.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead environmental management activities across designated project areas.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental legislation, standards, and HS2 regulatory requirements.
* Deliver and oversee landscape mitigation measures to reduce visual and environmental impacts along the HS2 route.
* Implement and monitor noise mitigation solutions to ensure construction and operational noise remains within agreed limits.
* Coordinate ecological surveys and mitigation to protect species and habitats, ensuring compliance with ecological legislation and HS2 commitments.
* Develop and monitor soil management practices to protect soil quality and ensure correct handling, storage, and reuse during construction.

What You'll Bring:

* Experience in environmental management within major infrastructure or construction projects.
* Well-developed understanding of the regulatory and legislative framework relevant to HS2.
* Chartered Environmentalist status or membership of an appropriate professional institution (e.g., IEMA, CIWEM, CIEEM).
* A confident communicator, able to influence stakeholders, regulators, and multidisciplinary project teams.
