A specialist engineering solutions business experiencing continued growth is seeking to appoint an HSE Advisor to strengthen its team. The role is focused on reducing risk, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a positive, proactive health & safety culture

Key Responsibilities for the HSE Advisor

* Promote a positive HSE culture through site engagement, toolbox talks, wellbeing initiatives, and clear communication, including leading H&S committee meetings.
* Deliver and support HSE training, inductions, health surveillance, and internal competency assessments, ensuring consistent development across the workforce.
* Lead risk management activities including risk assessments, COSHH support, PPE guidance, and compliance with all relevant H&S legislation.
* Conduct audits, incident investigations, and root cause analysis while maintaining accurate data, reporting on trends, and updating HSE information systems.
* Support the development and maintenance of HSE documentation, procedures, and customer pre-qualification requirements.
* Provide on-site and contractor support through RAMS development, HSE inductions, supplier approval processes, and occasional site visits.
* Carry out occupational health surveillance activities such as DSE, noise, and vibration assessments, working closely with the HSE Manager and other functional leads.

Ideal Candidate Profile for the HSE Advisor:

* NEBOSH National General Certificate
* Background in HSE with a minimum of 2-5 years' experience in a similar industry
* Analytical and problem-solving ability
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Self-driven and team player
* Willingness and the thirst to continue to learn
* Knowledge of ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
