The Role
As a self-employed carer, you may provide live-in care, visiting care, or both, depending on your availability, experience and the needs of our clients.
Your responsibilities may include:
Providing person-centred care and support in the client's home.
Supporting clients with personal care, mobility and daily living activities.
Supporting medication routines where appropriate and within your training and experience.
Providing companionship and emotional support.
Supporting clients with household tasks and meal preparation where required.
Maintaining the client's dignity, independence, privacy and choice.
Communicating appropriately with family members and relevant professionals.
Following agreed care plans and reporting any concerns appropriately.
Maintaining professional boundaries and high standards of conduct.
What We Require
To progress your application, you will need to provide clear copies, photographs or screenshots of the following:
Valid photo ID
Proof of Right to Work in the UK
Public Liability Insurance
Proof of self-employment, such as an HMRC or tax return document displaying your name and UTR
DBS certificate registered on the Update Service
Relevant training certificates dated within the last 12 months, including:
Basic Life Support
Manual Handling
Medication Awareness
Safeguarding
Dementia Care
Up-to-date CV, including a completed employment gap explanation form
Care references, including client or employer name, dates of employment/care, telephone number and email address
Completed recruitment video call/interview
Completed Health Questionnaire
Professional profile photograph to share with clients
Confirmation of your current location in the UK
Driving licence and DVLA check/code where applicable
Confirmation of whether you are looking for visiting care, live-in care, or are open to both
