Job Title: Cleaning SupervisorLocation: HorshamContract: Permanent – Full Time 37.5 hours per weekWorking Pattern: Monday to Friday 1:30pm to 9:30pmRate of Pay: £15.50 per hourAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at the Thermo-Fisher Scientific site in Horsham.This is a hands-on supervisory role where you will lead the cleaning team and ensure consistently high standards are maintained across the site. You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the cleaning service, including allocating work, monitoring standards, managing rotas and supporting the team.As the role operates within a standards and compliance-led environment, attention to detail and a strong approach to health, safety and cleaning procedures are essential.⚠️IMPORTANT – TRAVEL REQUIREMENTThis role is based on-site in Horsham, and candidates must be able to travel to and from the site by car.There is no suitable public transport access to the site, so please ensure you have reliable access to a car for your commute before applying.The site is accessed via a long country road with no pavement or street lighting, meaning walking to the site from the nearest public transport route is not a suitable option.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support the cleaning team to deliver consistently high standardsAllocate daily tasks and manage rotas, absence and holiday coverCarry out regular quality checks and ensure cleaning standards are maintainedTrain and support team members, ensuring compliance with site proceduresEnsure Health & Safety, COSHH, GMP and safe working practices are followedManage cleaning equipment, materials and stock levelsComplete required records, checks and compliance documentationWork closely with management and the client to resolve issues and maintain excellent serviceWhat We’re Looking ForPrevious experience as a Cleaning Supervisor is essentialProven experience leading, supporting and organising a cleaning teamGood knowledge of professional cleaning methods, equipment and materialsStrong understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH and safe working practicesExperience working to high standards in a compliance-focused environmentConfident managing rotas, allocating workloads and monitoring cleaning standardsStrong communication, organisation and people-management skillsReliable, proactive and able to resolve day-to-day operational issuesExperience in a GMP, pharmaceutical, laboratory or regulated environment would be advantageousRelevant cleaning, IOSH, COSHH or BICSc qualifications would be beneficialWhat We OfferWorking with Sodexo is more than a job it’s a chance to be part of something greater.
