This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Oncology nurse to build their own clinical team for this brand new facility, with the support and guidance from our already established clinical team on Harley Street. Once the clinical team is recruited, the role will involve: Being responsible for ensuring that patients and visitors receive the level of service that conforms to our client’s vision, aspiration and values. Provide specialist nursing advice to support and facilitate high quality individualised care to patients/clients and relatives/carers, without supervision, in collaboration with the multi disciplinary team Create and maintain a safe, therapeutic clinical environment for all patients and their families who come to the area. The post-holder will work with the Chief Nursing Officer to co-ordinate all functions and activities to ensure a smooth running service to patients and their families.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Leading the clinical management of a defined ward or department, within the unit to include support and mentorship of junior staff, acting as a clinical expert and role model.
• Assist in the operational management of a defined ward or department to include prioritisation of work, staff deployment, recruitment and retention along with the promotion of team and multidisciplinary working.
• Effectively managing resources in all forms: staffing establishments, manpower planning and deployment of ward management budgets.
• Keeping up with current developments and trends in clinical practice to include identifying own and team learning and education needs, maintaining competency requirements, portraying a positive image and supporting the ward/department team.
• Ensuring the highest quality of practice and care through effective monitoring of own and others clinical competence.

Skills and Experience
NMC Nurse registration, along with significant Cancer and Chemotherapy nursing is essential along with strong leadership experience. Post registration qualification in Cancer/ Chemotherapy Nursing or teaching and mentoring qualification are highly desirable.
