Robert Half are currently partnering with one of Bristol's most rapidly expanding and excelling organisations. This Financial Controller position will see someone oversee a high performing team, whilst not being entirely divorced from the day job. The successful Financial Controller will have experience of working at this level of seniority and have a track record of good team management, whilst also taking responsibility for the month end process and feeding information into senior stakeholders across the business. This Financial Controller position is being recruited on a 18 month interim basis and will require the successful candidate to start at short notice. Role Preparation of monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow; Production and presentation of monthly financial performance reports (Monthly Operating Review) to the Senior Leadership Team; Preparation and presentation to the board of annual business budgets and ongoing forecasts; Full responsibility for the UK annual audit including statutory accounts preparation; Preparation of the corporation tax pack for use by external tax advisors; Preparation of monthly duty return and quarterly VAT return; Oversight of weekly sales reporting; Supporting and working closely with the Managing Director of the division, advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions; Analysing financial performance and contributing to the strategic leadership as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, developing, shaping and achieving core business plan objectives; Product costings and investment appraisals; Management of finance team (4 people) Other ad hoc tasks as required.
