Housing Options Manager   Poole   Salary: £37,306 - £40,057   9 – 12 Months Maternity Cover Contract – 37 hours per week Part-Time 28hrs+ over 4 days would be considered   This role leads a team of mainly frontline officers delivering housing options services to local residents. You will bring ideas and enthusiasm to the service during a time of major challenges from welfare reform, rising homelessness and government initiatives whilst delivering savings through creative efficiency and effective working practices. You will be expected to work together closely with partners to deliver a modern, integrated service and efficient customer care offer that delivers the right service at the right time.   You need to be energetic, collaborative, resilient and passionate about developing and delivering frontline housing services and have an excellent understanding of the rapidly changing landscape around homelessness and housing options – with the skills and expertise to match. This diverse role involves the management of a team who deliver housing register and allocations, housing options, homelessness prevention initiatives and support to residents of the Borough.   Poole has higher than average house prices and a hugely competitive private rental market, creating an acute shortage of suitable affordable accommodation. Identifying effective solutions to these housing challenges including homelessness demands will not come easily, however working alongside a committed management team who you will work together with, to succeed in the role.   You will also be a genuine people person, with the ability to build effective and sustainable relationships with different stakeholders, including colleagues, elected members and partner organisations.
