Our recruitment division is currently sourcing candidates for the following role:

Position Description:
Diagnostic Feature Engineer - Transmissions this position is within Diagnostic Service Products (DSP) Group. The group deals with writing and maintaining diagnostic s/w on its dealer tools, namely, IDS Standard, FDRS and EtisIDS (Symptom Based Diagnostics). The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of guided diagnostic and service functions for Transmission, clutch & driveline. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the Powertrain Product Development team and customer services personnel. Work will include Current Model and Future Model diagnostic strategies and software.

Skills Required:
Excellent interpersonal, project management and communication skills. Excellent PC Skills. Appreciation of programming.

Skills Preferred:
Use of CAN tools like CANoe, Candella or equivalent. Use of Vector toolsets like CANAlyser, DET Tool or equivalent.

Experience Required:
Experience of diagnostic authoring or vehicle diagnostics calibration. Excellent knowledge of CAN Bus networks in vehicle systems and diagnostic messaging philosophy.

Experience Preferred:
Experience of authoring tools such as GradeX, SPA or familiarity of OTX is desirable. Experience of simulation, Yellow Board and vehicle testing desired - Working knowledge of dealer tools IDS/FDRS/EtisIDS desired - Familiarity with any of these Ford Systems WERS, IVS (& GIVIS), ETIS, OASIS, BSAQ, GCQIS and E-tracker. Working knowledge of Transmissions, clutch & driveline.

Education Required:
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree.
