Our recruitment division is currently recruiting the following:

Job Title: Diagnostic Engineer
Division: Marketing & Sales Operations
Location: Dunton

Position Description:
Module Configuration & Programming (MCP) - Diagnostic Engineer This position is within Diagnostic Service Products (DSP) Group. The group deals with authoring and maintaining MCP diagnostic s/w on its Dealer Tools, namely, FDRS and EtisIDS.
The successful candidate will be responsible for project managing the development of MCP diagnostic applications and support Service Actions on the Dealer diagnostic tools. They will be expected to work closely with Core Body, Chassis & Electrical Engineering teams and Vehicle Program personnel, as well as the wider Customer Services Division and its suppliers. Work will include Current Model vehicles and Future Models diagnostic strategies and software.

Skills Required:
Use of Vector toolsets like CANalyser, DET Tool or suitable CAN Bus equivalent. Excellent, demonstrable, interpersonal, project management and communication skills. Excellent PC Skills.

Skills Preferred:
Use of CAN tools like CANoe, Candella , Kvaser or equivalent. Some experience of writing or using high-level computer software packages (e.g. C++)

Experience Required:
Working knowledge of Electrical and Powertrain vehicle systems and architectures - Good knowledge of CAN Bus networks in vehicle systems and diagnostic messaging philosophy.

Experience Preferred:
Working with an Electrical or Powertrain diagnostics environment - Experience of simulation, Yellow Board and vehicle testing desired -Experience of diagnostic authoring or programming vehicle diagnostics through Ford tools such as Bosch GradeX, or use of OTX is desirable. Working knowledge of Ford Dealer Diagnostic tools IDS/FDRS/EtisIDS desired - Familiarity with any of these Ford Systems WERS, SharePoint, IVS (& GIVIS), FordETIS, OASIS, BSAQ, GCQIS and E-tracker.
