NOW Careers is exclusively recruiting on behalf of a manufacturing company in the Gilwern area who is seeking to recruit a Part-Time Accounts Payable and Cash Control Clerk to work within their friendly and busy Finance Department.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will assume responsibility for accounts payable and cash control.

The client is seeking someone for 21 hours per week ideally over 3 days but can be flexible as to when and how the 21 hours are worked.

The salary on offer for this role is £21,161 per annum (pro rata`d to £11.542)

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

- Daily processing of supplier invoices on the SAGE system.
- 3 way matching supplier invoices to Purchase Orders.
- Investigating & resolving any invoices that are placed in query.
- Processing any supplier debit notes to recover returned parts.
- Supplier Statement Reconciliations.
- Maintain supplier database in both sterling and foreign currencies.
- Keep supplier database updated with correct contacts details and VAT details.
- Monthly Purchase Ledger reconciliation to General Ledger.
- Accounts Payable month end reporting.
- Intercompany Statement Reconciliations & Reporting.
- Raising supplier payments.
- Daily Bank Reconciliations for multicurrency accounts.
- Weekly Cash Flow Reporting.
- Supporting the annual external audit for accounts payable and bank.

- The ability to develop and adapt procedures to improve efficiency
- Professional approach and attitude
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and innovative with a willingness to take on new challenges.
- Strong organisational skills, diligent and conscientious
- Good problem solving skills - eye for detail and numbers.
- Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel. Good knowledge of SAGE 200 is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to communicate at all levels of the business
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Previous experience working with accounting sub ledgers & book keeping.
- AAT qualification is desirable
