Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries School of Art and Design   Senior Technician (Fabric Print) Employment type: Fixed-term contract for 12 months (or the earlier return of the substantive post holder) to cover a period of maternity leave Employment basis: Full-time Salary: £26,495 - £28,936 per annum Post number: ZZ601492 Date published: 16 April 2018 Closing date: 04 May 2018  Interview date: 18 May 2018   The Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries are looking for a skilled Fabric Screen Print Workshop senior technician to support and maintain the Fabric Print Workshop providing occasional support for our paper Print Workshops. The role requires excellent skills and experience in Screen and Fabric Print and textile design, including: screen print, open screen, devore, puff print, decolourant, colour magnet, Fabric Dying, Flocking, Foiling, dye sublimation use of metallics, pearl and neon binders and fabric patterning and textile creation processes and equipment.  The role holder will undertake the day-to-day running of the workshop, including the preparation and maintenance of print tables flocking, heat presses, die processing, heat guns, fabric masters and other equipment, issuing of tools, and overseeing of health and safety requirements within the workshop.
