Technical Author - The Role: The role will primarily be creating supplementary chapters for AMM and IPC documentation for a new fleet of Aircraft for a world-class Airline. Your position will involve; • Creating Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) and Illustrated parts Catalogue (IPC) supplements in iSpec2000 • Database (CSDB) environment using Airbus Adoc Web • Compiling source data from the Customer Engineering Database • Working closely with the Technical Illustrators • Liaising with the customer engineering teams • Liaising with the on-site support team to resolve technical queries Technical Author - To be considered for this opportunity: The right candidate will have the following skills and background; • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience within the aircraft industry. • Experience in working in the Airbus Adoc Web system • Experience in using SGML / XML • Experience with CSDBs • Experience with AMM and IPC • Familiar with ICN structure • Good understanding of engineering data in a variety of formats from Engineering drawings to Design Reports • Adequate competency using different software packages for planning/reporting purposes • Liaising with the customers project lead and the engineering team • A pro-active thinker that can provide potential solutions • Drive and enthusiasm to achieve customer quality criteria • Ability to work to deadlines and adhere to schedules • Ability work with a minimum of supervision • A pro-active approach to problem solving and investigation • Strong communications skills and be able to work as part of the team • The capability to manage multiple tasks at once and providing reports to the Project Coordinator • The ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing customer requirements • The capability to work to tight deadlines with minimal supervision If you feel you have the necessary skills or experience click on “APPLY ” today, forwarding an up to date copy of your up to date CV for consideration in the first instance.
