My Client, A Housing Association in Borehamwood is seeking a Service Charge Officer for a 3 month contract. The ideal Candidate will have Strong Customer Service And Knowledge Of Service Charges Within Housing Associations. The candidate will be able to handle, investigate and advise on difficult query from tenants about services they should receive according to tenancy agreements and receiving incorrect bills (rents and service charges). A Service Charge Officer will be expected to: Deal with Customer Queries (internal and external) in a timely and accurate manner Ensure that service charge queries are answered within set timescales and accurately. Ensures that service charge procedures and policies are adhered to at all times Administering Service Charges Ensure that service chargeable costs are entered into the service charge module to enable Affinity Sutton to maximise income. Ensure that all leaseholders/ shared owners and tenants are informed by letter of any changes in the service charges to their block. Maintaining the Service Charge Module Ensure that any changes to charges are made accurately so residents are charged the correct amounts. Providing the Service Charges For The Rent Review Essential requirements: Sound numerical, analytical and problem solving skills. Good level of IT Literacy. Good communication skills by letter and telephone with customers. Investigate and resolve customer query and keep them informed. Use of Microsoft Office products- e.g. Word, Excel. Ability to contribute to effective working relationships within the organisation and its Operating Companies. Commitment to achieving results and ensuring quality of service delivery. High level of initiative, enthusiasm and motivation. Work in a team of 3-4 people. Desirable: "A" Level standard of education, or equivalent. Knowledge & understanding of the service charge, rent and central database modules of the In-house computer system. Knowledge & understanding of service charge legislation and accounting Knowledge & understanding of the maintenance and input of data into the service charge module. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Project and time management skills. Willingness to be involved in wider department and corporate issues.
