Would you like to work for one of the big top four supermarkets in the UK? Do you have experience on SEO Demandware and Meta Data? We are currently recruiting for a eCommerce Assistant for our client who will be responsible for the review, development and optimisation of the clients clothing range Merchandising and Content processes and principles.

As eCommerce Assistant you will create and document merchandising & content principles to drive efficiency and consistency across our client’s ways of working. You will:

* Review and optimise processes within merchandising & content
* Standardising creation of best practice materials, management of third party data and involvement with the development backlog
* Review and recommend use cases for 3rd party data
* Create and document merchandising & content principles to drive efficiency and consistency across the company’s ways of working, supporting our training function
* Engage website teams to fully understand challenges faced to establish and re-engineer merchandising & content procedures, ensuring quick fixes to issues
* Establish and maintain site wide taxonomy principles and framework
* Development of site search principles and search relevance to improve conversion
* SEO and meta data best practice implementation and refinement
* Work across the Website, CMS (Fusions) Development, Merchandising Optimisation and Site Optimisation teams
* Data analysis to spot and act on relevant opportunities
* Support our Multi Variant Testing program

What you’ll need

Experience working within a large scale eCommerce environment is preferable along with experience of working within a transactional retail environment. You will need to possess:

* Strong understanding of eCommerce Software Platforms eg. Demandware
* Experience of managing a “development backlog” would be an advantage
* Tenacity, analytical skills and the ability to ‘peel back the layers’ of the issue to pin point the root cause and appropriate remedial action required
* Clarity of thought, effective communication skills and the ability to coach and influence others
* Project co-ordination skills
* Intermediate Excel Skills
* A willingness to travel between offices
* Knowledge of SEO and Meta Data

Benefits

The pay rate for this role is £10.26 per hour.

The hours will be standard 9am to 5.30pm, with an hour for lunch, Monday to Friday. So, 7 ½ hours per day over 5 days for a standard 37 ½ week.
